Integrity of Australia's border arrangements

On 5 March 2015, the Joint Committee on the Australian Commission for Law Enforcement Integrity initiated an inquiry into the Integrity of Australia's border arrangements. At the dissolution of the Senate and the House of Representatives on 9 May 2016 for a general election on 2 July 2016, the parliamentary committees of the 44th Parliament ceased to exist and inquiries referred to the committees lapsed.

On 11 October 2016, the committee re-initiated the inquiry in the 45th Parliament. It lapsed again at the dissolution of the House of Representatives on Thursday 11 April 2019. Further information about the inquiry in the 45th Parliament can be viewed on that inquiry's webpage.

On 16 October 2019, the committee resolved to reinitiate this inquiry in the 46th Parliament. Further information about the new inquiry can be accessed at its webpage.
