ANZFA and gene technology: Media Advice: 6 March 2000

The House of Representatives Standing Committee on Primary Industries and Regional Services, chaired by FranBailey, MP, will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, 8 March in Canberra, as part of its inquiry into primary producer access to gene technology.

The committee is examining the capacity of Australian farmers to access gene technology and the future of genetically modified varieties.

Representatives from the Australia New Zealand Food Authority will give evidence at the public hearing, which will take place in Committee Room 1R3, Parliament House, from 5.15 p.m. to 6.15 p.m.
