Inquiry into Electronic Petitioning

Under Standing Order 220, the Standing Committee on Petitions has authority to inquire into and report on any matter relating to petitions and the petitioning system. On 4 June 2008 the Committee resolved to conduct an inquiry into an electronic petitioning system for the House of Representatives.

The Committee invites interested persons and organisations to make submissions addressing the terms of reference by Friday, 8 August 2008. Please refer to our brochure called preparing a submission for more information.

In order to facilitate electronic publishing of submissions, the Committee would prefer them to be emailed to petitions.committee.reps@aph.gov.au or sent on disk or CD-ROM to the Committee Secretariat in Microsoft Word® or Portable Document Format (PDF).
