Amends the:
Australian Communications Authority Act 1997
to allow the Australian Communications Authority (ACA) to incorporate other documents by reference when making a written definitions determination; Freedom of Information Act 1982
to ensure that certain prohibited material is specifically exempt from disclosure under the Act; Radiocommunications Act 1992
to enable, by disallowable instrument, the exemption of certain law enforcement and anti-corruption bodies from the operation of sections of the Act dealing with unlicensed transmissions, equipment standards and interference emissions; streamline licensing provisions and expand the objects clause; Telecommunications Act 1997
to abolish the specially-constituted ACA; and in relation to the criteria for the issue of a facility installation permit; and Telecommunications (Consumer Protection and Service Standards) Act 1999
in relation to: the National Relay Service; disallowance of a revocation or variation of a customer service guarantee; and the Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman Scheme.
