    Norfolk Island Act 1979
    and 28 Acts to provide interim measures to implement the reform, including abolishing the Norfolk Island Legislative Assembly and Executive Council, and establishing an Advisory Council as an interim consultative body; the
    Norfolk Island Act 1979
    and 115 Acts to provide for final governance arrangements, including: the application of New South Wales (NSW) state law to Norfolk Island as Commonwealth law and to allow the Commonwealth to enter into arrangements with the NSW Government for the delivery of state level services; and extending certain mainland social security, immigration and health arrangements to Norfolk Island; and
    Census and Statistics Act 1905
    to align the power to collect statistics in the external territories with the power to collect statistics in the rest of Australia.

    National Vocational Education and Training Regulator Act 2011
    to: insert or clarify definitions for ministerial council, registered training organisation, registration code, quality standards and vocational education and training (VET) information; extend the operation of penalty provisions to trading corporations; prohibit a person from advertising or offering VET courses without including the name and registration code of the responsible registered training organisation; extend to 7 years the period of registration able to be granted by the National VET Regulator (NVR); provide that the minister may make quality standards; provide that it is a condition of registration that an NVR registered training organisation must satisfy the quality standards; specify to whom, and for what purpose, the regulator may disclose VET information; streamline the processes required for the issuing of a written direction by the regulator; and clarify that a person employed in a court of a state or territory may issue a search warrant if authorised to do so.

    Australian Security Intelligence Organisation Act 1979
    to: align the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation’s (ASIO) employment conditions with the Australian Public Service employment framework; modernise ASIO’s warrant-based intelligence collection powers; establish a framework for the conduct of authorised covert intelligence operations; clarify ASIO’s ability to cooperate with the private sector; and provide for certain breaches to be referred to law enforcement agencies for investigation; the
    Intelligence Services Act 2001
    to: enable the Australian Secret Intelligence Service (ASIS) to collect intelligence on Australian persons involved in activities in relation to its operational security; enable ASIS to cooperate with ASIO without ministerial authorisation when undertaking certain intelligence collection activities; enable ASIS to train certain individuals in the use of weapons and self-defence techniques and provide for a limited exception of these in a controlled environment; extend immunity for actions taken in relation to overseas activities; clarify the authority of the Defence Imagery and Geospatial Organisation (DIGO) to provide assistance; and rename DIGO as the Australian Geospatial Intelligence Organisation and the Defence Signals Directorate as the Australian Signals Directorate; the
