Summary

Amends the: Offshore Petroleum and Greenhouse Gas Storage Act 2006 in relation to: granting certain access authorities; declaring locations from the Designated Authority to Joint Authority; granting scientific investigation consents; the notification of discovery of petroleum in production license areas; datum provisions and the relabelling of title areas and blocks; duty of care offences; consent to operate a pipeline; requirements for data management plans; titleholder responsibilities in relation to drilling safety; and the registration and transfers of, and dealings in, petroleum titles; Administrative Decisions (Judicial Review) Act 1997 to add the Western Australian mirror legislation to the Act; and Offshore Petroleum and Greenhouse Gas Storage Act 2006, Archives Act 1983, Freedom of Information Act 1982 and Privacy Act 1988 in relation to Commissions of inquiry into significant offshore incidents. Also makes minor technical corrections to five other Acts.
