Summary

Amends the

Migration Act 1958
to repeal provisions which prevent the Human Rights and Equal Opportunities Commission and the Postal Industry Ombudsman from giving legal advice or assistance to detainees unless they have initiated a complaint in writing to the Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission or to the Postal Industry Ombudsman.
