Amends: the

Defence Force Discipline Act 1982
as a consequence of changes in the criminal law of the Australian Capital Territory; the
Defence Act 1903
to change references from “investigating officers” to “inquiry officers”; the
Naval Defence Act 1910
to align legislation governing eligible ages of Navy Cadets with legislation governing their Army and Air Force counterparts; the
Military Superannuation and Benefits Act 1991
to remove access to the Military Superannuation and Benefits scheme retention benefit for new members of the Australian Defence Force; and 10 Acts to make technical amendments consequential on the commencement of the
Legislative Instruments Act 2003
and
Legislative Instruments (Transitional Provisions and Consequential Amendments) Act 2003
