Summary

Amends the:

Judiciary Act 1903
to: consolidate the Australian Government Solicitor (AGS) into the Attorney-General’s Department (AGD); and remove provisions relating to AGS’s former role as a statutory corporation; and
Director of Public Prosecutions Act 1983
and
Freedom of Information Act 1982
to make consequential amendments. Also makes transitional arrangements in relation to AGS being consolidated into the AGD.
