Summary

Part of a package of three bills to implement certain recommendations from the Joint Review of Border Fees, Charges and Taxes, the bill amends the

Import Processing Charges Act 2001
to: increase the import processing charges imposed on import and warehouse declarations; remove the price differential between charges for sea cargo, air cargo and postal import declarations and warehouse declarations; and introduce a consistent price differential between electronically and manually lodged import declarations.
