Summary

Amends the

Export Market Development Grants Act 1997
to: increase the maximum number of grants per applicant to eight; reduce the minimum expenses threshold incurred by an applicant to $15 000; reduce the deduction from the applicant’s provisional grant amount to $2500; prevent the payment of grants to applicants engaging an export market development grants consultant assessed to not be a fit and proper person; provide that if an amount of a grant is determined before 1 July following the ‘balance distribution date’, the grant becomes payable immediately; and enable the payment of additional expenses above the cap on administration costs for the 2013-14 financial year.
