Summary

Amends the

National Health Act 1953
to change the pricing arrangements for drugs after they are listed on the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme, by classifying drugs into formularies and specifying new pricing rules and supply requirements for drugs that have multiple brands and for single brand combination items. Also includes provisions for drugs requiring special pricing arrangements and makes minor, technical and consequential amendments.
