Summary

Consequential on the commencement of the proposed

Corporations (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) Act 2006
, the bill amends the
Corporations Act 2001
to remove duplication between these two Acts in certain areas and clarify that the
Corporations Act 2001
otherwise applies to an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander corporation registered under the proposed
Corporations (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) Act 2006
.
