Summary

Introduced with the Employment and Workplace Relations Legislation Amendment (Welfare to Work and Other Measures) Bill 2005, the bill amends the:

A New Tax System (Family Assistance) Act 1999
and
A New Tax System (Family Assistance) (Administration) Act 1999
to: increase the number of hours of child care benefit payable without needing to meeting the work/training/study test; and modify the work/training/study test applicable to those who wish to claim up to 50 hours child care benefit in a week.
