Summary
Amends the
Higher Education Support Act 2003
to further implement and refine the new framework for the Commonwealth funding of higher education and provide certainty to higher education providers and students, particularly in relation to review of decisions; access to student support payments; and flexibility of providers to respond to changes in demand and supply for particular courses or units of study. Also amends the:
Higher Education Support (Transitional Provisions and Consequential Amendments) Act 2003
to clarify certain references; and
Higher Education Support Act 2003
and
Taxation Administration Act 1953
clarify tax file number requirements for students.
