Summary

Introduced with the Australian Heritage Council Bill 2002, the bill: repeals the

Australian Heritage Commission Act 1975
; and amends the
Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999
to remove a reference to the
Australian Heritage Commission Act 1975
. Also makes consequential amendments to 5 other Acts and provides for transitional arrangements for the transition from the Australian Heritage Commission to the Australian Heritage Council, including a regulation-making power.
