Amends the:
Higher Education Funding Act 1988
in relation to: funding levels for certain purposes; consistent accountability requirements in relation to grants; removal of requirement for institutions to send a ‘notice of liability’ to overseas fee-paying students; name change of Batchelor College to Batchelor Institute of Indigenous Tertiary Education; application of taxation legislation; and correction of a drafting oversight in relation to the Post-graduate Education Loan Scheme; and
Australian Research Council Act 2001
in relation to: funding caps for certain purposes; Ministerial approval of research projects for 4 years; and creation of advisory committees by the Australian Research Council Board.
