Summary
Introduced with the Air Passenger Ticket Levy (Imposition) Bill 2001 to fund a Special Employees’ Entitlements Scheme for Ansett group employees, the bill provides for the collection of a levy on all tickets issued to board flights originating in Australia and purchased on or after 1 October 2001. Also provides for a regulation-making power.
