Summary

Amends the

Customs Act 1901
to: align provisions dealing with countervailable subsidies with the World Trade Organization Agreement on Subsidies and Countervailing Measures; enable the Australian Customs and Border Protection Service to conduct inquiries to address the circumvention of trade measures by exporters or importers of goods which are subject to measures; amend sampling provisions relating to non-cooperation in anti-dumping investigations, reviews of anti-dumping measures or continuation inquiries; and make technical amendments.
