Inquiry into establishing a Modern Slavery Act in Australia

On Wednesday, 15 February 2017 the Attorney-General, Senator the Hon George Brandis QC, asked the Committee to inquire into and report on Establishing a Modern Slavery Act in Australia.

On 17 August 2017, the Foreign Affairs and Aid Sub-Committee was briefed by representatives from the Cambodian Children’s Trust and Forget Me Not Foundation on the issue of orphanage tourism. A video of the opening statements from this briefing is available below.
