FORMAT OF THIS REPORT
On 19 July 2010, the Parliament was prorogued. A General
Election was held on 21 August 2010. The 42nd Parliament finished on
27 September 2010 and the 43rd Parliament commenced on the following
day.
This report is divided into several sections that provide
statistics on committee work during the following periods:
-
the half year (1 July 2010 to 31 December 2010); and
-
the year (1 January 2010 to 31 December 2010)
-
the end of the 42nd Parliament (1 July 2010 to 27 September
2010), and
- the commencement of the 43rd Parliament (28 September
2010 to 31 December 2010)
Statistics on these periods are kept in order to record
information based on parliamentary terms as well as half, financial and full
year periods.
