SENATE ECONOMICS LEGISLATION COMMITTEE
CONSIDERATION OF TIME CRITICAL BILLS

  1. The committee met in private session on 3 June 2013 at 8.55 am.
  2. Pursuant to the resolution of the Senate of 15 May 2013 referring the provisions of time critical bills to legislative and general purpose standing committees for inquiry and report, the committee has considered the provisions of the Intellectual Property Laws Amendment Bill 2013.
  3. By unanimous decision, the committee has determined that, given the House of Representatives referred the same bill for inquiry and report to the House Standing Committee on Social Policy and Legal Affairs on 30 May 2013, the committee will not proceed with its own inquiry.

The committee reports accordingly.
