The Family Assistance and Other Legislation Amendment Bill 2013 was referred on 28 February 2013 to both the Senate Community Affairs and Senate Economics Legislation Committees by the Selection of Bills Committee for report by 18 March.
After discussion between the Chairs, the Senate Economics Legislation Committee determined that the Senate Community Affairs Legislation Committee would conduct the inquiry, and in so doing consider the economic implications of the Bill.
