On 7 May 2014 the Minister for Defence, Senator The Honourable David Johnston, asked the Joint Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade to inquire into and report on Government Support for Australian Defence Industry Exports. The Committee tabled its report, Principles and Practice - Australian Defence Industry and Exports, on 1 December 2015.
