At the dissolution of the Senate and the House of Representatives on 9 May 2016 for a general election on 2 July 2016, the parliamentary committees of the 44th Parliament ceased to exist. Therefore inquiries that were not completed have lapsed and submissions cannot be received. However, information about the inquiries is still available on this website.
Information on this committee in the 45th Parliament will be presented here as soon as it is available.
Note: On 1 January 2003, the Committee's name changed to the Parliamentary Joint Committee on the Australian Crime Commission with the commencement of the Australian Crime Commission Act 2002 (formerly the Joint Committee on the National Crime Authority).
The Committee’s name changed again on 25 November 2010 with the commencement of the Parliamentary Joint Committee on Law Enforcement Act 2010 to become the Parliamentary Joint Committee on Law Enforcement (formerly the Australian Crime Commission).
