Asset Recycling Fund Bill 2014

On 29 May 2014, the Senate referred the Asset Recycling Fund Bill 2014 and the Asset Recycling Fund (Consequential Amendments) Bill 2014 to the Senate Finance and Public Administration Legislation Committee for inquiry and report.

Submissions closing date is 4 June 2014. The reporting date is 16 June 2014.

About this inquiry

The inquiry will consider the following bills:

The Asset Recycling Fund Bill 2014 establishes the Asset Recycling Fund (ARF) on 1 July 2014, which consists of:

  • the Asset Recycling Fund Special Account; and
  • the investments of the Asset Recycling Fund.

The ARF is a dedicated investment vehicle with a focus on providing funding, financial assistance and incentives to the States and Territories to create new infrastructure to boost economic growth.

The Asset Recycling Fund (Consequential Amendments) Bill 2014 (the Bill) makes a number of consequential amendments to other pieces of legislation required to enable the effective operation of Asset Recycling Fund (ARF) from 1 July 2014.
