Purpose

To increase the rate of excise duty on aviation gasoline and kerosene.

 

Background

Refer to the Digest for the Customs Tariff Amendment (Aviation Fuel Revenues) Bill 1999.

 

Main Provisions

Item 1 increases the rate of excise duty on aviation kerosene to $0.0271/L.

Items 2 and 3 increase the rate of excise duty on aviation gasoline to $0.0271/L.
