To amend the definition of a trailer in the
Interstate Road Transport Act 1985.
This Bill is one of three Bills intended to
update national heavy vehicle registration charges.(1)

Schedule 1
Item 1 amends
subsection 3(1) of the Interstate Road
Transport Act 1985 to substitute a new definition of
'trailer'. This brings it into line with definitions contained in
the Road Transport Charges (Australian Capital Territory)
Amendment Bill 2000.
- The others are the Road Transport Charges (Australian Capital
Territory) Amendment Bill 2000 and the Interstate Road Transport
Charge Amendment Bill 2000.
