The Senate Rural Affairs and Transport References Committee met on 30 September 2010 and considered references not disposed of at the end of the 42nd Parliament. The committee resolved to recommend to the Senate:
That the following inquiry of the 42nd Parliament be re-adopted:
- Inquiry into biosecurity and quarantine, with a reporting date of 22 November 2010.
The committee also resolved to recommend to the Senate that the committee have the power to consider and use the records of the Senate Standing Committee on Rural and Regional Affairs and Transport appointed in the previous parliament.
