House of Representatives Committees
House Standing Committee on Infrastructure and Communications
Inquiry into Smart Infrastructure
During the 42nd Parliament, the Committee commenced an inquiry into ‘smart infrastructure’, examining the challenges and benefits which may arise from its use in four main sectors: transport, communications, energy and water.
In the 43rd Parliament, the inquiry has been re-referred. The Committee intends to continue the dialogue with the Australian community commenced during the previous Parliament. In considering the terms of reference, the Committee intends to maintain its focus on the impacts of smart infrastructure in the transport, energy, communications and water sectors.
The Committee is not calling for submissions at this time but the website will continue to be updated as other activities are planned. You can indicate your interest in the inquiry by emailing the Committee Secretariat. You may also wish to indicate whether there are any specific sectors of particular interest to you.
