Summary

Amends the National Health Act 1953 in relation to: gap cover schemes; the obligations of health funds to provide information to the public and the Health Insurance Commission; rationalising the structure of the Act; and Health Insurance Act 1973 to transfer responsibility for registration of billing agents from the Private Health Insurance Administration Council to the Health Insurance Commission. Also contains transitional provisions.
