Summary: Amends the:
Corporations Act 2001
  to: set a national regulatory regime for margin loans; require that promissory notes valued at $50,000 or over are subject to the same regulatory regime as debentures; require the establishment of a public register of debenture trustees; and provide that Australian Capital Territory courts have jurisdiction for certain offences; and
Australian Securities and Investments Commission Act 2001
  and
Corporations Act 2001
  to transfer the regulation of trustee companies from the states and territories to the Commonwealth.
