Summary

Amends the Telecommunications Act 1997 to: allow information contained in the Integrated Public Number Database (IPND) to be disclosed to authorised persons to facilitate state and territory government initiated telephony-based emergency warning systems; require any disclosure of IPND information to be reported to the minister, Australian Communications and Media Authority and the Privacy Commissioner; and permit access to listed IPND data to provide a Location Dependent Carriage Service. Also contains offence provisions relating to the improper disclosure of information.
