Summary
Introduced with the National Security Information (Criminal Proceedings) Bill 2004, the bill amends the Administrative Decisions (Judicial Review) Act 1977 to limit a court’s jurisdiction to determine a defendant’s application for review of a certificate decision by the Attorney-General; and to exclude a person from requesting a written statement of reasons for a certificate decision from the Attorney-General; and Judiciary Act 1903 to give the relevant Supreme Court jurisdiction in respect of applications for writs of mandamus or prohibition, or injunctions.
