Summary

Amends the: Veterans’ Entitlements Act 1986 to: extend access to psychiatric assessment and counselling services to certain Vietnam veterans, dependants and former dependants; extend access to the Veterans’ Children Education Scheme for certain children of Vietnam veterans; exclude ABSTUDY from the income test applied to a partner’s income support pension or supplement; exclude ABSTUDY recipients from receipt of income support pension or supplement; grant veterans eligibility for qualifying service and operational service in relation to certain service in South-East Asia between 1955 and 1975; and align certain pensions and allowances with the arrangements in place for income support payments.
