  in relation to: creation of a national workplace relations system, including the establishment of the Australian Fair Pay Commission (AFPC) which will set and adjust minimum and award classification wages, minimum conditions of employment; public holidays; outworkers; direct bargaining between employers and employees; the role of the Australian Industrial Relations Commission, particularly in relation to regulation of industrial action; a simplified system of awards; redundancy pay by small business employers; transmission of business rules; protection of key award conditions in bargaining processes; dispute settlement procedures; extension of the compliance regime; transitional arrangements; provides for the renumbering of the Act; and Financial Management and Accountability Regulations 1997 in relation to the establishment of the AFPC.

  Administrative Decisions (Judicial Review) Act 1977

  to add a declaration under section 7 (selection of site of radioactive waste management facility) of the proposed

  Commonwealth Radioactive Waste Management Act 2005

  to the classes of decisions that are not decisions to which the Act applies; and

  Australian Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety Act 1998

  to provide for an additional position, nominated by the Chief Minister of the Northern Territory, on the Radiation Health and Safety Advisory Council.

  Introduced with the Commonwealth Radioactive Waste Management (Related Amendment) Bill 2005, the bill clarifies the Commonwealth’s power to conduct activities necessary for, or incidental to, the selection of specified Commonwealth land as a site for, and the establishment and operation of, a radioactive waste management facility and the transportation of radioactive waste to the facility. The bill also specifies three Commonwealth potential sites in the Northern Territory which are to be further investigated; and provides for the Northern Territory Government and land councils to nominate potential sites.
