About the Parliamentary Education Office

Students enjoying the Parliamentary Education Office role-playThe Parliamentary Education Office (PEO) provides parliamentary education services to schools, teachers and students.

They do this by:

  • teaching how parliament works by the use of experiential learning programs 
  • producing resources and publications for classroom use or independent study
  • running a comprehensive, interactive website with resources for all ages and levels of knowledge.

Staff

The PEO has a multi-skilled team which includes educators, project managers, graphic designers, web developers and administrative staff. Visit About PEO staff to find out more.

Administration

The PEO is part of the Department of the Senate but also works closely with the House of Representatives to provide teaching about the Parliament. They also support members and senators to inform constituents about the work of the federal Parliament.
