Inquiry into Governance on Norfolk Island: Part 2 - Financial Sustainability of Current Governance Arrangements

This inquiry was inititated in the 40th Parliament, however it lapsed when all Committees of the House of Representatives and Joint Committees of the Senate and House of Representatives for the 40th Parliament ceased to exist upon dissolution of the House of Representatives at 4:59pm, Tuesday 31 August 2004.

On Thursday 9 December 2004, the Minister for Local Government Territories and Roads wrote to the Committee asking that it continue its inquiry into Governance on Norfolk Island: Part 2 - Financial Sustainability of Current Governance Arrangements.

The Committee invites interested persons and organisations to make submissions addressing the terms of reference. The initial closing date for submissions was by 22 April 2005 - anyone now wanting to make a contribution to the inquiry should contact the Committee Secretariat.

In order to facilitate electronic publishing of submissions, the Committee would prefer them to be emailed to jscncet@aph.gov.au or sent on disk or CD-ROM to the Committee Secretariat in Microsoft Word® or Portable Document Format (PDF).
