On 4 July 2012 the Chair of the Committee, Mr Tony Zappia MP, wrote to the Chair of the Senate Environment and Communications Legislation Committee, Senator Doug Cameron. The text of the letter can be viewed here.

Following the report of the Senate Committee (tabled 15 August 2012), the Committee held a public hearing into the Greenhouse and Energy Minimum Standards Bills.
