Additional Comments from Labor Senators

During the current parliament the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Communications have taken on notice a total of 1241 questions. Of these just 459 have been answered by the respective deadline and 82 answers were not provided until after the commencement of the following estimates round. Ten answers remain outstanding as of the reporting date.
Labor Senators are concerned that the late provision of answers is becoming a pattern and would like to express their disappointment in the continued disregard for the deadlines set. Labor Senators encourage the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Communications to submit answers to questions on notice in a timelier manner
