Inquiry into the Passenger Movement Charge Amendment Bill 2008
Information about the Inquiry
On 18 June 2008, the
Senate referred the Passenger Movement Charge Amendment Bill 2008 to the
Legal and Constitutional Affairs Committee for inquiry and report by
24 June 2008.
The Bill proposes to amend the Passenger Movement Charge Act 1978
to increase the rate of the Passenger Movement Charge by $9, to $47,
with effect from 1 July 2008.
The Committee invites
written submissions by Friday, 20 June 2008. Submissions
