On 8 August 2001 the Senate referred the Public Interest Disclosure Bill 2001 to the Finance and Public Administration Legislation Committee for inquiry and report by 18 April 2002.  The reference was readopted on 21 March 2002 with a reporting date of 27 June 2002.
