The Workplace
Relations Amendment (Agreement Validation) Bill 2004 was referred by the
Senate to the legislation committee on 18 November 2004 and the committee is
expected to report on 29 November 2004.
Submissions from interested parties
are invited. As the inquiry schedule is extremely tight, submissions should be
emailed to the secretary by midday on Tuesday, 23 November 2004.
The committee will hold a public
hearing on Thursday, 25 November in the Melbourne Town Hall, commencing at
11.00am. All available time slots for this hearing have been filled by
peak organisations and other groups. The hearing program will be posted
on this site when all arrangements have been confirmed, probably by Tuesday,
23 November 2004.
