Higher Education Legislation Amendment (2005 Measures No.1) Bill 2005

The Higher Education Legislation Amendment (2005 Measures No.1) Bill 2005 was referred by the Senate to the legislation committee on 9 March 2005 and the committee is expected to report on 16 March 2005.

The committee will examine among other things, the basis for a proposal to give Table B providers access to the Capital Development Pool and the possibility for this to be used as precedent for later funding decisions.

Submissions from interested parties are invited. As the inquiry schedule is extremely tight, submissions should be emailed to the secretary by COB Monday, 14 March 2005. Submitters will be notified if a public hearing is scheduled.

Inquiries from hearing and speech impaired people should be directed to the Parliament House TTY number (02) 6277 7799. Adobe also provides tools for the blind and visually impaired to access PDF documents. These tools are available at: http://access.adobe.com/. If you require any special arrangements in order to enable you to participate in a committee inquiry, please contact the committee secretary.
