About this inquiry
The objective of the committee’s NDIS General Issues Inquiry is to identify broad systemic issues relating to the implementation, performance, governance, administration and expenditure of the NDIS. After 30 June each year, the committee reports to the Parliament on issues that have arisen during the reporting period and offers recommendations intended to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Scheme.
Making a submission
The committee is seeking information about the implementation, performance, governance, administration and expenditure of the NDIS. In particular, the committee invites submissions and information from participants, their carers and family members, service providers, and representative organisations. More information about making submissions can be found online.
The NDIS General Issues Inquiry is an ongoing inquiry. Submissions to the inquiry may be made at any time, however the committee invites submissions by 30 June 2023 for consideration in its first annual report.
Confidentiality of personal accounts
Please note that all personal accounts will be considered confidential in the first instance. The committee will then consider whether it is appropriate to make all, or some, of the submission public. If you wish for your submission to remain confidential, please bring this to the attention of the committee when submitting.
Individual cases
Submissions outlining details of individual cases or complaints may assist the committee in identifying broader systemic issues for investigation. However, the committee is not in a position to provide advice on individual circumstances, nor is it able to overturn or remake decisions made by the National Disability Insurance Agency. People with concerns about these matters should contact the National Disability Insurance Agency directly.
