The Inquiry into Opportunities for Expanding the Aquaculture Industry in Northern Australia will build on issues previously raised with the Joint Select Committee on Northern Australia and allow for a more in-depth approach to examining an industry which has the potential to significantly contribute to growing the economy of Northern Australia.

Inquiry into Opportunities for Expanding the Aquaculture Industry in Northern Australia

Following a referral received from the Prime Minister, The Hon Tony Abbott MP, the Joint Select Committee on Northern Australia inquired into and reported on Opportunities for Expanding the Aquaculture Industry in Northern Australia.

The Committee invited interested individuals and organisations to make a submission addressing the terms of reference.

The deadline for submissions was Friday, 1 May 2015.

The Committee tabled their Report titled Scaling Up: Inquiry into Opportunities for Expanding Aquaculture in Northern Australia on 22 February 2016.
