The House of Representatives Standing Committee on Primary Industries and Regional Services, chaired by FranBailey, MP, will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, 29 September in Canberra, as part of its inquiry into primary producer access to gene technology.

The committee is examining the capacity of Australian farmers to access the benefits of gene technology and the future value and importance of genetically modified varieties.

Representatives from Agrifood Alliance Australia will give evidence at the public hearing.

The hearing will take place in Committee Room 1R4, Parliament House, from 9.30 a.m to 11.30 a.m. More details of the hearing program.
