Level crossing safety : An update to the 2004 train illumination report

Updating the Standing Committee on Transport and Regional Services' 2004 report into some measures proposed to improve train visibility and reduce level crossing accidents

On Wednesday 27 November 2008 the Standing Committee on Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government resolved to update its 2004 report titled: Train Illumination: inquiry into some measures proposed to improve train visibility and reduce level crossing accidents.

The Committee invites interested persons and organisations to make submissions addressing any issue raised in the Committee's Train Illumination report by Friday 23 January 2009. Please refer to our brochure called preparing a submission for more information.

In order to facilitate electronic publishing of submissions, the Committee would prefer them to be emailed to itrdlg.reps@aph.gov.au or sent on disk or CD-ROM to the Committee Secretariat in Microsoft Word® or Portable Document Format (PDF).
