First public hearing for catchment management inquiry

The House of Representatives Standing Committee on Environment and Heritage will hold the first public hearing for its inquiry into catchment management this Monday, 20 September in Canberra.

The issues the committee is looking at include the value of a catchment approach to environmental management, best practice methods of achieving catchment health and environmental sustainability, and the role of governments, the private sector and the community in catchment management.
