The Senate met from 9.30am until 5.57pm

The Senate will meet again on 27 February 2006 . Senate legislation committees will meet next week to examine additional estimates.

Notice of motion given

A notice of motion was given by the Chair of the Standing Committee on Regulations and Ordinances to disallow Instrument No. CASA 383/05, made under regulation 179A of the Civil Aviation Regulations 1988 [The instrument will be deemed to be disallowed if the notice is not agreed to or withdrawn within 15 sitting days after 9 February 2006–ie by 19 June 2006]

Notices of intention given to withdraw notices

Notices of intention were given by the Chair of the Standing Committee on Regulations and Ordinances to withdraw notices to disallow the following delegated legislation:

  • Aviation Transport Security Amendment Regulations 2005 (No. 2), as contained in Select Legislative Instrument 2005 No. 222 and made under the Aviation Transport Security Act 2004
  • Civil Aviation (Fees) Amendment Regulations 2005 (No. 1), as contained in Select Legislative Instrument 2005 No. 224 and made under the Civil Aviation Act 1988
